Wedding services, city by city
Once a match becomes a wedding, the work starts over: a venue, a photographer, someone to feed three hundred people. Match & Wed is building that marketplace across the same regions its community platforms serve.
The marketplace is not open yet
No wedding businesses have been listed. Rather than publish a directory of categories and cities with nothing behind them, this section stays empty until there are real businesses to browse.
How it will be organised
Wedding services are a local problem. A family in Jodhpur needs a photographer in Jodhpur, and a national list of the country's best-known studios helps nobody. So the marketplace is organised by city first and category second:
- a page per city where there are enough businesses to be worth browsing;
- a page per category within that city — photographers, wedding venues, caterers, decorators, makeup artists, mehndi artists, wedding planners — but only for categories that actually have businesses in that city.
There will be no page for a category in a city with one listing in it. That rule is enforced in code rather than by intention: a listing page needs a minimum number of published vendors before it is generated at all, and pages below that threshold are never built and never appear in the sitemap.
What a listing will and will not claim
A listing will carry what has been confirmed with the business — what it does, where it is, how to reach it. It will not carry invented review scores, star ratings or "verified" marks that stand for nothing. Where a rating eventually exists, it will be because real customers left it.
Listing a wedding business
Onboarding is not open. When it is, it will start in the cities where community platforms are live, so that listings appear where there are already families planning weddings. The contact page has the current position.
