How community matrimony works
Match & Wed brings together separate community-specific matchmaking platforms. Each serves its own community, with shared standards for safety and verification.

A community is more than a search filter
Community matrimony starts with the context in which people consider a marriage: language, family expectations, customs and individual preferences. Samaj matrimony describes a marriage search within a samaj or community.
A separate experience
Our model starts with a platform for a particular community, under its own name. Community context shapes the experience from the start, rather than being only a filter in one national profile database.
Room for family differences
Language, native place or gotra may matter to some families. Customs around lineage, surnames and first conversations vary; no single rule describes every Indian community or every family within one.
Check each platform's available features and discuss the customs your own family follows. A community focus does not replace the choices of the people marrying.
Start your marriage search, step by step
- Choose a community platform. Use the Community Platforms directory to check who each open platform serves and how to join. Mali Sagai is currently live for Mali families.
- Prepare a clear introduction. Discuss what the person considering marriage wants to share and who should receive it. Our marriage biodata checklist includes a blank worksheet for your own document.
- Continue in the community app. Joining and matchmaking happen in the platform's separate application, under its own terms and privacy information. This parent website does not collect matrimonial profiles.
- Take the first conversation at your own pace. Use our first-meeting questions to discuss everyday life, family and future plans. An introduction does not commit either person to proceed.
Joining one platform does not make your profile visible across every community.
Care before and after an introduction
- Human review. Profiles are reviewed before they become visible. Approval is different from verification.
- Consent before conversation. An interest must be accepted before a conversation begins.
- A way to raise concerns. Reporting and removal are part of the shared safety standard. Check the community platform's guidance for its controls.
Match & Wed does not display a verified badge. Review and verification cannot guarantee character, marital status, intent or safety. Confirm important claims independently.
Samaj gatherings, registers and community work
Online matchmaking is one route. Community organisations also arrange introduction gatherings and maintain marriage registers. Our Community updates covers sourced activity by outside organisations. Coverage does not imply a partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.
