What we understand

Abhay India reported on 8 August 2026 that Mali Saini Samuhik Vivah Sansthan in Bikaner — an organisation whose established work is running mass-marriage ceremonies — had started doing something adjacent to it. According to the report it has begun accepting applications from marriage-eligible young men and women and compiling them into a digital directory intended to help families find each other, built outward from the neighbourhood committee level rather than launched as a finished service.

That is a more interesting development than it may sound. An organisation running a samuhik vivah already holds the community’s confidence and already sees who is looking; what it has not historically had is any way for two families to find each other outside the few weeks around a ceremony. A directory kept through the year changes that, and here it is being built by an institution families already know rather than by an outside service asking to be trusted first.

The same report says the sansthan’s eighteenth mass-marriage conference is set for 20 November 2026. That date is Abhay India’s rather than ours and we have not confirmed it independently, so anyone planning around it should check with the sansthan directly.

Match & Wed publishes Mali Sagai, a matrimony platform for the same community, and has no part in any of this. That is worth stating plainly, because a matrimony company writing approvingly about a community organisation building something comparable could easily be read as a claim on it. It is not one.

About this summary

Match & Wed wrote this in its own words after reading the sources listed above. It reproduces none of their text and none of their photographs, and any figure here is what a source reported rather than something we counted. Where the sources disagree or leave something unclear, this page says so instead of choosing.

Match & Wed has no partnership with, sponsorship from, or endorsement by Mali Saini Samuhik Vivah Sansthan, and describing this activity is not a recommendation to take part in it. Anything about attending, registering or paying is between a family and the organisers, and their own announcements are the authority — not this page.

If anything here is wrong or out of date, write to us and we will correct or remove it, with the correction shown on this page and dated.
